The Need
We needed to update our Easel, this item was in the range for many years.
The Challenge
The past easel has been in the range for many years, so each supplier has constantly improved its production, which made a big challenge for us in the team to create a concept that has a lower price.
Final goal was to create a new easel, that improves all its functions, its easy to store, easy to clean, has a Scandinavian modern style, and cost less.
Our Solution
An easel that, has a bigger drawing area for both the chalkboard and whiteboard, its easier to fold and store for parents, its easier to clean the trays (trays can be removed to be washed), the paper roll is now on the top part of the easel, which makes it easier for both parents and kids to use the paper roll. All of this while reducing the price.
*As Product Developer, I started the exploration and lead the whole development team (Designer, Engineers, Sales, Sourcing, Project Controller) through the whole development and business process from identifying needs at the start, prototyping, testing, development on factory floor, creating the business case, and until reaching the sales floor worldwide.
